  • This place is popular and usually packed, but we were lucky to arrive at the right time with no queue! It’s well known for its momos, and now I can see why. We tried the steamed vegetable momos with jhol, the veg and cheese momos with jhol on side, and the veg chowmein noodles. The momos were tasty and generously filled. Next time, I’d probably skip the jhol and just enjoy them with their chilli oil. It’s flavourful on its own. The chowmein was also really good. I found jhol a little spicy, but a glass of orange juice helped balance it out. It’s a little further away for me, but definitely worth the trip down once! Highly recommend timing your visit right otherwise, be prepared to queue.

  • I went there to try Nepalese food for the first time. I was the first one to arrive and I had to wait for my friends outside as the restaurant was quite busy, and the place is quite small. It was 4 of us, we had momos to share. And we also had a big plate to share. Everything was very tasty and full of flavour. I loved my momos in a curry sauce/soup along with the bread I was dipping in the sauces. The wait was so quick, I couldn’t believe the food arrived so fast

  • Great food, and a cute spot - I always stop by here if I'm in the area, and would recommend. However as a few other reviews have mentioned, I was a bit surprised to see 12.50% service charge slapped on the bill, when there is next to no service (and you are in fact encouraged to leave as quickly as possible). Seems to miss the entire point of a a service charge, and soured an otherwise lovely experience. I appreciate times are tough for businesses at the moment - but simply increasing prices on the menu to what's needed to manage costs would feel more honest.

  • NGL the food tastes exactly how I have had it in Nelpal and upper utrakhand. But the Kothaye momos were a little too fried for my taste. A busy place so eat and leave. Super friendly staff

  • The food was great and we got there before the dinner rush. Everything was halal too. They won't seat you unless your whole party is there, and you have to order and pay at the counter. I would go back, but I also did notice the signs that basically said "eat and leave", so not a place for a relaxed dinner. If not the signs, the visible queue in front was enough pressure to make us eat and leave quickly. We were on a sharing table which was a bit wobbly, so the table moved the whole time we were there which was a bit distracting.

  • Service - friendly. They are a bit strict with their table policy. They only let you sit if the whole group is all together. Food - Very very very good. Delicious. It exceeded our expectations. Share the different dishes. Atmosphere - small and cute Location - love the borough Hackney Price - very fair, especially for London Wifi - unknown

  • We had dinner tonight there with a friend in their new location on 446 Kingsland road. Very nice new location, the main course was very tasty (combo beef with steered fried noodle). Then the chef made us try his new sweet a “mango tart”’ it was very yummy and perfect to absorb the little spice of the main. Really recommend this place and will definitely go back :)

  • Really happy that there’s a place in East London that does halal Nepali food! The flavours are close to authentic Nepali food - especially pleased with the momo achar! Just one thing: the chopsticks are very unnecessary. It’s not part of our culture at all, and I feel like it’s just creating misconceptions. It was a bit strange seeing some ppl using chopsticks to eat momo for example please consider removing them!!
